Sara Brazeal has been named Public Communications Inc.’s newest vice president and company officer. Brazeal, a 13-year veteran of the agency, helps manage several of the agency’s largest healthcare and nonprofit client programs.
Since joining PCI in 2003, Brazeal has been instrumental in the success of several award-winning client programs, including the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology’s Find an Allergist, Find Relief campaign and the Nationwide Asthma Screening Program – one of the nation’s largest health screening initiatives.
“Sara’s strategic thinking, creativity, time management and thoughtful problem solving consistently win praise from her clients and peers, and deliver on our firm’s promise of providing quality communications counsel,” said CEO Jill Allread, APR. “Her contributions extend beyond client programs, including serving on the PCI Cares community service team, which provides agency-wide volunteer opportunities.”
Brazeal continues to expand her skills and leadership by participating in several certification programs. She is certified as an SEO practitioner and a conversion optimization practitioner by Market Motive, an industry leader in online marketing training, and in regulatory compliance for public relations by The Center for Communication Compliance in Healthcare.
A former journalist, Brazeal joined PCI with a deep understanding of media and nonprofit communications. She previously worked with Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a national nonprofit that guides community developers in improving distressed neighborhoods, and as a copy editor at the Indianapolis Star and a reporter for the Associated Press.
Brazeal, 40, lives in Barrington, Ill. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in journalism and a second major in political science.
