What We Do

Conservation and Environment

We help get funding restored for state parks, launch campaigns to entice screen-addicted kids to play outside, activate coalitions to save vanishing prairies and help organizations establish themselves as a trusted voice for conservation.

PCI has extensive expertise in conservation and environmental communications.

We understand protecting nature is about much more than making space for plants and animals; it’s also about protecting and enriching life for people and communities.

We match our expertise in strategic planning, public education, and public affairs with our passion for wildlife and the outdoors, helping our private, public and nonprofit clients celebrate successes and navigate complicated issues. Specialties include animal health issues and campaigns, animal welfare and environmental science, wildlife conservation, preservation of urban open space and the role of nature in healthy communities.

Wildlife Advocacy and Animal Care Communications

Deep societal shifts are affecting the way people view their relationship with animals. PCI is internationally recognized for our expertise assisting organizations that care for, manage, study or protect animals.

We support a range of clients from zoos and aquariums to agricultural veterinarians to scientists and marine mammal stranding responders, providing them solutions to communications challenges and helping them tell their stories. We closely monitor public attitudes about animal welfare and changing cultural perspectives on humans’ relationship with animals to help our clients effectively articulate the importance of their work through strategic, factual, engaging communications.

We have firmly established roots within the zoo and aquarium community, helping more than three dozen institutions and organizations manage issues and campaigns.
