Chicago women leaders in professions including business, law, government, education, the arts, healthcare and media joined PCI CEO Jill Allread for lunch on July 23 at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel as she accepted the 2015 Woman of Vision Award from law firm Arnstein & Lehr LLP.
The award, sponsored by the firm’s Women’s Initiative Committee, honors an inspirational Chicago business woman who has made a difference in the world through her professional and personal commitments.
Jill is the ninth Woman of Vision, joining past honorees such as Anne Pramaggiore, president and COO, Com Ed; Cheryl Jackson, president and CEO of the Chicago Urban League; Leslie Hindman, founder and owner of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers; and architect Jeanne Gang, who designed the Blu Aqua Hotel.
As part of the award ceremony, Arnstein & Lehr also recognizes a charity in the community. This year that organization is Women Employed, which expands educational and employment opportunities for working women.
Woman of Vision is one of several recent honors for Jill. Earlier this year Chicago Business Journal named her a “Woman of Influence.” In June she shared the Public Relations Society of America’s Lifetime Achievement Award with former PCI colleague Dorothy Pirovano, who retired as CEO in late 2014.
